Warning signs

  • Chasing losses — betting more to "win it back".
  • Spending money meant for rent, food, school fees or debts.
  • Borrowing, or using mobile loans, to gamble.
  • Hiding gambling from family or friends.
  • Feeling anxious, irritable or low when not gambling.
  • Paying for "predictors", "signals" or "hacks".

Limits that help

  • Decide a budget you can afford to lose before you start — and stop when it's gone.
  • Set deposit and time limits in your account settings; most licensed operators offer them.
  • Never gamble with borrowed money.
  • Use self-exclusion if you need a break.

Our expected loss calculator shows what a session costs on average, and the risk of ruin calculator shows how quickly a bankroll can disappear.
